General Roleplay

Section 2.1

PreviousCivilian Reserve Activity RequirementNextGeneral Roleplay Continued.

Last updated 10 months ago

Our roleplay will focus on non-priority situations and scenes. Typical roleplay should be kept as realistic as possible and our members should understand the basic rules for Roleplay. As an ARP Civilian you will be held to high standards, and will be seen with utmost respect, and with that comes mutual respect with other members. We expect proper behavior when it comes to dealing with Law Enforcement officers. Always stay in character!

Use creativity and include new characters often. Work to test the skills of LEO’S, work to test the ability of other Civilians. It's easy to start a shooting, or rob a bank. ARP looks to avoid this, we look to extend the tendency of certain roleplay. Instead of being normal, we look to infuse unique styles. Act out scenes to the fullest. Be realistic as possible when dealing with injuries in-game. Look to extend scenes other than end them.

With interactions with law enforcement, at any time while conducting your roleplay should you attempt to get the attention of the law enforcement within the game. This can be known as cop-baiting. Cop-baiting is strictly prohibited and reflects the type of roleplay we strive to stay away from. If a civilian is reported for this type of infraction, it will result in immediate discipline that is most necessary.

This being a menu server, it tends to be easy to just always have everything. Tends to be easy to use this menu other than improvising scenes. The menu is a privilege and it must not be abused. Scenes are to be realistic, Scenes are always looking for use of emotes, Scenes can always use a creative mind. Overall ARP looks to step up what is seen as the “Normal” for roleplay scenarios.

Guidelines for making a proper 911 calls:

  • If active dispatch: Use Teamspeak “911” Channel, and use the /911 command.

  • If No Active Dispatch: Simply Use “/nd911” in game.

  • Use proper details like addresses, or postals.

After completing a scene, most of the time there will be some form of investigation that follows. This can consist of LEO searching your person or your vehicle, or even an extended investigation which can rely on cameras. This is a world of possibilities that you have to watch out for in chat to make sure your scene can be completely investigated and finished. As well, make sure you are answering these realistically. For example, if an officer is searching your vehicle, do not just put nothing if there is nothing that relates to the scene. Put burger shot bags, liter bottles of soda, cigarettes, etc, just normal things that could be in a vehicle. Make sure you are following this rule for LEO when they search your character. Give as much detail as possible, and aim to bring the case to a close unless you specifically want it to be an open ended investigation.

Bomb threat scenes are prohibited until further notice.
